I have called Vegas home since my family moved here in 1998 from Mexico. I started my career in accounting to help with the family business. As a recent high school student, I would help with QuickBooks and completed progress billing packages for contractors. Even at a young age, I understood that the livelihood of many families depended on the success of the business. The small family business did not survive the 2008 recession but the one take-away was the importance of the financial side of the business. The family business did not have a trusted CPA that could help them figure out cash-flow issues or how to save money on taxes.

When I graduated from UNLV, I started my career in public accounting to help other small-business owners. I worked closely with clients ranging from small Etsy sellers to enterprises with million dollars in sales. I want to bring the resources that are available to large companies to small businesses like the one my family had.

I serve on the NV Society of CPAs board of directors, the NVCPA Las Vegas chapter, and the AICPA student recruitment committee. I believe that it’s important to have a voice in guiding our profession at a state and national level. In 2018 I attended the AICPA Leadership Academy which is an exclusive program that provides leadership experience to selected emerging leaders in the CPA profession.

In my free time I love to spend time with family, friends and several pets. I would spend all day reading if I could. I make time for my yoga and meditation practices everyday. And I love to hike different trails in our city. Traveling is also a passion of mine. One of my goals is to visit all 7 continents.
