Joanne Hendricks is a dedicated professional with a strong background in bookkeeping, financial reporting, and client support. She has years of experience in accounting roles across public accounting firms, private businesses, and internal controls environments.
Joanne joined Avant CPAs & Advisors in 2024, where she provides client accounting services, including reconciling bank, credit card, and merchant accounts; preparing monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial statements; onboarding new clients to QuickBooks Online; and ensuring the accuracy and integrity of clients’ financial records. She is also a vital part of the firm’s administrative operations.
Before joining Avant CPAs, Joanne gained extensive accounting experience in both public and private settings. She worked for a public CPA firm in Las Vegas, performing reconciliations, financial statement preparation, tax filings, and training colleagues, and held earlier roles in Hawaii, where she managed accounts payable and receivable, internal controls, and month-end reporting, maintaining accurate financial records and supporting operational and accounting teams.
Joanne holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration – Accounting from the University of Phoenix, graduating Summa Cum Laude in 2022. She also completed accounting coursework at the University of Nevada Las Vegas and Georgia Southern University, and she earned an Associate of Applied Science from Leeward Community College.
Originally from Hawaii, Joanne was born and raised on Oahu, later lived in Georgia, and now resides in Las Vegas. Outside of work, she is an avid reader who loves getting lost in the worlds authors create. She also enjoys adventuring with her husband and happily indulging in spoiling her “paw-son,” their beloved dog, Choji.
